Snapshot

Locally owned and operated

Gillespie & Son, Inc., locally owned and operated since 1922, manufactures concrete products serving the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Delaware. The company makes and distributes ready mix concrete, precast products, and block. Also offered are aggregate products such as sand, gravel, crushed stone, landscaping and paving systems.

The company is run by fourth generation sons, James and Todd Gillespie. Here at Gillespie & Son along with our affiliate companies, Gillespie Precast and Delmarva Castings & Supply, we currently have just under 200 employees.  We take pride in our long history of retention, with many employees having worked for us for over 20 years.

In the 1990’s Gillespie expanded into precast concrete products. Strong growth led Gillespie to separate the precast operation into its own division, Gillespie Precast in 2004.
